Las flores de primavera acaparan toda la atención, pero la equinácea púrpura, la dedalera falsa y la achicoria común siguen presentes cuando los días se acortan y enfrían. Le pedimos a Jennifer Farrell, de Starshaped Press, que dibujara el trío con el estilo decorativo de las encuadernaciones de editorial de principios del siglo XX, y sus encantadoras ilustraciones nos encantaron.
Además, Laura García, de Paper Perennial, es la artista responsable de la hermosa creación de flores en el vídeo que acompaña a este lanzamiento: Equinácea, Dedalera y Achicoria.
Para emular la textura y el acabado de los libros de tela polvorientos y desgastados de hace más de cien años, imprimimos las cubiertas con tres sutiles tintas metálicas (1, 2, 3) en el nuevo papel Mosaico 100#C "Azul Medianoche" de Mohawk con acabado de arpillera. La contraportada interior presenta información sobre cada flor, además de una lista reducida de aplicaciones prácticas. Los cuerpos están rayados en azul grisáceo claro, sobre nuestro popular papel Domtar Lynx de 60 lb.

Spring flowers get all the press, but the purple coneflower, false foxglove, and common chicory are all still here for us when the days get shorter and colder. We asked Jennifer Farrell of Starshaped Press to draw the trio in the decorative style of early-20th-century “publishers’ bindings” and her charming illustrations couldn’t have pleased us more.
Additionally, Laura Garcia of Paper Perennial is the artist responsible for the beautiful flower-making in the film that accompanies this release, Coneflower, Foxglove, and Chicory.
To emulate the texture and finish of dusty, well-worn cloth books from more than a hundred years ago, we printed the covers with three subtle metallic inks (1, 2, 3) on Mohawk’s new “Midnight Blue” 100#C Mosaic stock with a “burlap” finish. The inside back covers features a bit of data about each flower, plus a scaled-down list of Practical Applications. The bodies are ruled in light blue-gray, on our ever-popular 60#T Domtar Lynx stock.
