Tiene una atractiva y pulida superficie plateada y una firme dureza.
Los bordes son hermosos y el color es atractivo, lo que le da un aspecto elegante.

El cuero se curte en tambor con taninos de plantas como el quepracho y la mimosa, y se acaba principalmente con tintes de anilina.
