Esta ilustración inspirada en la cultura japonesa muestra a un gato saliendo de un restaurante en la nieve. Lleva puesto un abrigo de paja de arroz llamado mino que se usaba mucho en el campo para protegerse de la lluvia y la nieve. Al fondo podemos ver parte del noren (cortina tradicional japonesa) del restaurante en el que vemos un pez así como los primeros caracteres de la palabra nezumi (ねずみ) que en japonés significa ratón/rata. Podemos deducir que el restaurante sirve pescado y está dirigido por un ratón.

“Cat leaving a restaurant in the snow”

This illustration inspired by Japanese culture depicts a cat leaving a restaurant in the snow. He’s wearing a rice-straw coat called mino which was widely used in the countryside to protect from rain and snow. In the background, we can see part of the noren (traditional Japanese curtain) of the restaurant on which we see a fish as well as the first characters of the word nezumi (ねずみ) which is japanese for mouse/rat. We can deduce that the restaurant serves fish and is run by a mouse.
