El Procyon combina algunas características excelentes en una pluma discreta. Desde fuera se trata de un diseño bastante minimalista, pero con algunos acabados llamativos.
El "Showa Sanshoku (tres colores de Showa)", el "Taisho Sanshoku (tres colores de Taisho)" y el "Kohaku (rojo y blanco)", las populares variedades de carpas Nishikigoi, se ilustran sobre el famoso patrón acuático de Ogata Korin. Cuenta la leyenda que las carpas pueden transformarse en un poderoso dragón nadando río arriba contra la fuerte corriente y saltando la "puerta del dragón". Por ello, la imagen de una carpa saltando la puerta se considera un símbolo de éxito.
La punta de acero inoxidable tiene un perfil pentagonal, lo que, según dicen, le da flexibilidad para una escritura más receptiva. Solo hay una pequeña variación de línea, pero tiene un poco de elasticidad, lo que a mucha gente le encanta.
El alimentador será de gran ayuda para quienes utilizan tinta embotellada con un convertidor opcional. Hay una entrada debajo de la alimentación, para permitir la entrada de aire cuando se usa el bolígrafo y para que entre la tinta al llenarlo. El resultado es que no es necesario sumergir toda la punta e introducirla en la tinta para llenarla, siempre que ese orificio llegue a la tinta. El Procyon Lustre es la versión de lujo, con cuerpo y tapa de aluminio satinado. Cranes over the Moon presenta hermosas obras de arte de grullas volando sobre la luna encima de un barril negro satinado.

The Procyon combines some great features in one understated pen. From the outside, it's a fairly minimalist design, but with some striking finishes.
The "Showa Sanshoku (Three Colors of Showa)", the "Taisho Sanshoku (Three Colors of Taisho)" and the "Kohaku (Red and White)", the popular varieties of Nishikigoi carp, are illustrated on the famous Ogata water pattern Korin. Legend has it that carp can transform into a powerful dragon by swimming upstream against the strong current and jumping over the "dragon gate." Therefore, the image of a carp jumping the door is considered a symbol of success.
The stainless steel nib has a pentagonal profile, which they say gives it flex, for more responsive writing. There's only a small amount of line variation, but it does have a little springiness to it, which many people love.
The feed will be a big help to those who use bottled ink with an optional converter. There's an inlet underneath the feed, for allowing air in when using the pen, and for the ink to enter when filling. The result is that you don't need to dip the whole nib and feed into the ink to fill it, as long as that hole reaches the ink. Platinum demonstrate it picking up the ink from a tilted bottle right down to the last drop. Less cleaning when you fill it up, and it makes your ink go further!
The Procyon Luster is the deluxe version, with a satin aluminium barrel and cap. Cranes over the Moon features some lovely artwork of cranes flying over the moon on top of a satin black barrel.
